Richard Bolt, with his background in electrical engineering, was the secretary of Victoria’s Department of Economic Development, Jobs, Transport and Resources. Richard spent some time in political activism as a researcher for the Australian Democrats, before assuming a variety of leadership roles in the Victorian Public Service.
In this episode, we were able to discuss his vision for the Australian energy landscape, the changes in the environmental and social values of Australia, and his passion for tackling climate change. We find out what keeps Richard awake at night, and the incentives that are driving changes in Australia, and how Australia as a "technology taker” is slowly moving into electric vehicles.
